DROS and Transfer Your Firearm Here

American Pacific Rifleworks will help you transfer your firearm, whether it be a private party transfer, or a transfer from an online purchase. Do to State & Federal storage requirements we  are increasing our fee's in order to keep paperwork in a secure location. That being said, we are still cheaper than other locations, Thank you...

If you purchase a gun online and need an FFL to work with - simply provide us with your name, phone number, order/auction number, model and manufacturer on the gun purchased, and the email address of your vender. We will email them the necessary paperwork to get your gun on its way here. When we receive it, we will call you to come and start the paperwork. The price for the DROS and transfer fee, out the door, will be $110.00 plus sales tax on the firearm*

If you need to transfer ownership of a gun between two private parties, both parties must be present at the time of the transfer. After the paperwork is complete, the gun will stay with us for 10 days - after which the purchaser can come pick it up. The price for a transfer is $35.

If you are transferring a gun between a parent and child, family transfer forms can be found on the Department of Justice website. They charge $19 for a transfer, and do not require you to fill out a DROS form, or complete any paperwork at a FFL Dealer.

Due to the time it takes to complete a transfer, we do not process DROS's after 4:30 pm. If this is problematic to your daily schedule, please call to make an appointment.

You can email us at Merlyn@Rifleworks.com, or by using our email form in the Email Us section.

*The state of California obligates us to collect sales tax on out of state gun sales. Please contact your local representative to voice your concerns.*
